The ‘MFH Dream Team’ are dedicated to help MFH new recruits through every aspect of becoming a qualified and vital part of the Music for Health Family.
Once you’ve become an official team member, they are still there for you, to encourage and support in every way that will help you. Soon you will be a confident and successful MFH Local Director, enjoying the freedom of owning your very own rewarding (in every way) business.
Will it Work for me Financially?
Let’s imagine that you are now part of the Music for Health team.
The first 6 months projection on a new MFH Area
1st Month
All our ‘Local Directors’ spend their first month doing complimentary workshops at the venues we provide. (This way of marketing allows MFH workshops to sell themselves for years to come).
The Next 5 Months
Music for Health workshops have been tried and tested since 2001 with great success and are well respected. Assuming that you are a self motivated new ‘Local Director’ with passion and enthusiasm, we would make a conservative estimate that you could average 6X hourly workshops per week for the following 5 months
The Music for Health team charge £55 plus per workshop
- 6 workshops at £55 = £330 per week
- 5 Months = 21 weeks – 21 x £330 = £6,930
- Less Royalty fees (3 months free) 3 x £138.50 = £415.50
- Total £6,515
Part of MFH’s marketing strategy is to give a free initial workshop, so the homes can see for themselves the amazing effect Music for Health workshops have on their residents. Marketed in this way the MFH workshops sell themselves. To support this (beneficial to all) marketing method, MFH allows you 3 months to build your business before starting to pay the monthly royalty fees.
The fully inclusive cost of a Music for Health new area is £5,750. You could therefore have cleared your initial expenditure in less than 6 months. If you choose to do more workshops a week, obviously, your initial outlay would be paid off much more quickly. You will have been provided with enough homes to do at least 10 workshops per week. One of our Local Directors does about 70 workshops per month, whereas others choose to do only a few.
We want you working at a speed that suits you and your life requirements.

Getting Going with Music for Health
Some things can’t be taught. New team members (known as Local Directors) must already have a natural sense of joy. Always have a glass half full outlook. You must genuinely want to make a difference in many people’s lives. Mustn’t be stressed at the thought of getting out in front of people and leading them in regular joyous times. You must be a stayer – the Residents get very fond of us and for many we are the nearest thing to family for them.
The workshops themselves and the transporting of the kit requires a degree of fitness although a trolley is part of the kit.
It surely goes without saying you must be passionate about music and its potential to heal and uplift mind, body and spirit.
To Sum Up
If you are a joyous, kind, positive, fun and reliable person who is also passionate about many genres of music (all this has to be genuine – because Residents know if someone is hamming it), in return your own life will be completely uplifted and you’ll enjoy your happiest job ever.
Practical Stuff You Need to Know
Given that you tick the above boxes, you will need to learn how to put the ‘Music for Health method’ into practice and how you can give the best possible benefit to all the people (whatever label life has given them) in the very best way ensuring that you have the most rewarding business on every level.
Training Day
This is a very fun day but also by the very nature of everything that has to be covered a very intense day. (All food and refreshment provided.)

At the end of the day your very comprehensive Music for Health kit will be ready for you to take home. You will of course have already had a chance to see what your kit comprises of – everything to run your new business with success except phone and computer. You will also need to have a reliable car.
You Are Not Alone
You will receive back up at all times, whenever you need it – there is no time limit on this – we are there for you whenever for whatever you need. Your success is the Music for Health’s teams success.
On completion of a successful Training Day you will receive a certificate.

The Team Getting Together
Prior to lockdown we got together as a whole company quite regularly and had the most joyous time.

P.S. As Local Directors we all have “The Best Job in the World” but nothing’s perfect – even we get the occasional “Beam me up Scotty Day”!

East Grinstead
I have been running Music for Health workshops in and around Sevenoaks September 2008, and I still love it as much as the day I began. One of the things I love most about Music for Health is that you become such an important part of so many people lives, and they all become really important to you. The residents love the music and the activities we do together but they also appreciate the laughter, the smiles and the genuine sense of enjoyment they feel coming from us workshop leaders. The music we use is so beautiful, and fun, and full of memories for the residents, and it’s a delight to share it with them.
Many people say to me that it must be wonderful to know that you are helping to make so many people so much happier, and of course that’s true. But what’s also true is how the workshops, and the residents, are able to uplift us as leaders, and if I wake up feeling a bit grumpy, I can guarantee a workshop will make me feel so much better! When a resident holds your hand, beams a beautiful smile at you and thanks you for giving them a wonderful hour, how can you not feel that you’ve got the best job in the world!
