Music For Health
Music for Health continues to be the most popular Activity at Emily Jackson House, because the format suits our elderly frail and Dementia residents, lightly fusing gentle exercise with musical reminiscence, which is a vital part of connecting with our residents. The music varies but never fails to gain recognition, and the music quiz is always a favourite amongst the group. I have been here three years and we very seldom have low numbers for these sessions, and everybody always leaves smiling and feeling invigorated.
Tracey who takes the sessions never fails to connect with our residents. Her warmth and ability to reach out to those with the most acute communication issues has ensured that she has a very special place in all of our hearts here at Emily Jackson. We consider Tracey an asset to our Activities Programme, and worth every single penny. Tracey's presentation and professionalism are indeed a credit to the Music for Health programme.

When Tony & Louise visit we are full of joy, and that includes the staff. The music and dance creates a happy and light hearted atmosphere. The residents come along and forget their ailments and feel 20 years younger, and the sense of well-being they bring continues throughout the day.Music For Health

Tony and Louise really do offer something a bit different – musical entertainment that gets the residents involved! After their trial visit a number of residents asked whether 'Music for Health' would be coming back and we are delighted that Tony and Louise are now regulars here.Music For Health

Just a few lines to say how much we enjoy the 'Music for Health' workshops. Our residents look forward to you coming as it is based on their participation. We have one resident who does not join in anything, but comes to life when you are here. The workshops are fun and noisy so even the hard of hearing can participate with no problem.
